Our team have been working in the Affiliate marketing area for a number of years, collecting data feeds from various campaigns to power price comparison sites and other related services. Part of the learning cycle over the years was to understand the differences between paying customers on a pay per click basis and that of a performance only per sale basis. What it eventually did was show us that even on a per sale basis the profits were much better than on a per click basis if the marketing aspect of what you do is correct.
